Piersland House

Our train to Brussels was cancelled because of the EuroTunnel closure so we abandoned our New Year trip to Brugge and headed home disappointed. I contacted the Piersland House and other hotels on the train on the way home in the hope of getting something for Hogmanay which was the next day. Not surprisingly the Piersland House was the first to get back to us, giving a great set of options. We’ve been before so just booked straight away. I can’t even fully express how great this hotel is. The room was lovely, spacious, very well equipped and spotless. The Hogmanay & New year meals were so delicious. If we eat out I like to feel it’s a real treat and much better than I can make at home. I’m not the best cook so surprisingly this is still becoming less and less the case. The food was cooked to perfection, despite a very busy restaurant, and the presentation was brilliant. Drinks ordered were also quick to arrive. Breakfast was lovely too. Order taken at the table and cooked fresh. Much better than the buffets often offered, which I don’t really like. It arrived quickly and was piping hot. It seems like quality, local ingredients are used throughout all the meals, including breakfast. The service throughout the hotel is unbeatable. Warm, welcoming and very professional. The General Manager and the rest of the team should take a bow, it really is a master class in good hospitality. We stay away a lot and the experience here is undoubtedly one of the best. We hope to see you again soon. Thank you very much for a perfect new year, albeit not planned.

Had a lunch with family for my birthday. Service wasn't brilliant think they had sent out for parmesan as nearly finished my pasta before it came. Had to ask twice. Apart from that excellent food. Definitely will be back.

We had our 20th Wedding Anniversary Dinner party within the Portico on Saturday 13th September with family and friends. The meal and service was absolutely brilliant! Every member of staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Martin couldn't have done any more for us , and every request was granted to make our evening even more special. We had also booked one of the MEWS which was comfortable and spacious. We will definately be returning to the peirsland House Hotel and would recommend this hotel for functions etc or even just for a meal the food was fabulous! Thank you so much Peirsland House Hotel for such a lovely evening!

Always had a soft spot for The Piersland and it never dissapoints. Great service and really tasty food. Also good value in lovely surroundings so very glad we went along Thanks again Piersland!

Lovely Hotel on outskirts of Troon. We had a really good sized room with good sized bathroom. Shower had a strange pulsing effect but otherwise everything was pristine. We had an excellent meal served in the beautiful old dining room / bar by very efficient and friendly staff. Excellent custom cooked breakfast in the Garden Room.

I had a one night stay here following a wedding at the same venue. I could not fault the staff or the venue, from start to finish. Staff were polite, friendly and super-helpful, there were plenty of staff around and each one treated you like your request was of utmost importance to them. Complementary umbrellas were available everywhere for you to use. My room was a Mews room and it was stunning, even had my own sitting room, with a sofa big enough to sleep on and a TV in each room. The super-king bed (two singles zipped together) was wonderfully luxurious and oh my goodness, it was SO DARK at night, they seemed to be able to eliminate every speck of light for a great night's sleep. My only gripe, if you can really call it one, is that there were no plugs anywhere near my bed for my phone to charge overnight and also be my light if I needed the loo in the night, so a lot of stumbling happened in the early hours of the morning! The wedding food was fabulous, and the hotel breakfast the next morning was superb, with hot food made to order. Would DEFINITELY return here. Thank you, Piersland House Hotel.

Room was lovely. Smelled like it had just been freshly decorated. Comfy bed and pillows. One of the bedside lights didn't work and it was very cold during the night as no heating on. Needed the furry throws on the bed to keep warm. LED lights on bathroom floor didn't work.

We enjoyed a two day vacation which included breakfast each day and dinner on the first day. The room was small but comfortable, clean and well stocked with coffee and tea. The hotel is ideally situated for touring the surrounding area.
